Insert GPS download USB drive into your computer and run "USB Driver Installer.exe" This program is also found on the update page. Then Reboot computer.
Always boot computer before pluging in usb cable to computer or navalert, however always plug in Navalert before running update program.
Then Simply download the currect Database update for your country.
Trouble updating ? Try using a different USB port.

You will find new features in your NavAlert unit you will not find in your user manual.
As always, new features are provided at no cost, simply update your unit and the new features will be in place if they are not already.
MPH/KMPH force switch:
Your unit will automatically switch to correct units when you pass a valid camera to your countries unit of measure, at any point you find you need to force the unit to MPH or KMPH simply from a stationary position press the menu button:
8 times for KMPH unit will display tph then wait for clock - unit is now forced to KMPH
9 times for MPH unit will display mph then wait for clock - unit is now forced to MPH
Zone bypass:
When your NavAlert announces any type of zone, pressing menu button within 4 seconds will cause unit to display OFF - you have now bypassed all alerts for that type of zone.
Example if you hear POSSIBLE MOBILE then press menu button, Navalert will bypass ALL future possible mobile alerts.
All alerts will be restored once the unit is powered down.
WARNING - pressing menu within 4 seconds will also bypass cameras if you use it within 4 seconds of a camera alert.
RUN update program with no unit attached.

Then run it again with the unit attached
Now what com ports are in the pull down?
Then new number in the pull down is the serial port for that USB.
If problems updating - try using more then one USB port. We have noticed that serial usb ports can have issues or conflicts with some USB however work perfectly on the others.
